As the new principal of the Los Angeles Academy of Arts & Enterprise, I look forward to the 2007-2008 school year. With fourteen years of teaching experience at the middle school level and five years of teaching parent education classes, I am delighted to contribute my experience as an educator to the continued success of LAAAE. Together, Sabrina Bow and I invite you to be our partners in your child’s education.

I joined the Academy in 2004 after meeting our founder, Mr. Moctesuma Esparza. Mr. Esparza's passion for transforming the educational opportunities for students in the greater Los Angeles area is truly tremendous. As the first person in my family to go to college, I am personally moved by Mr. Esparza's conviction. Together, our promise to the parents and families is to prepare students for success at the best colleges and universities in the nation, and go on to be the next generation of arts, entertainment and business leaders. We will do this by integrating art and business into an innovative curriculum. We will challenge students to think critically, be creative, and most of all, dream big.Over the next few years, students, parents, teachers, and staff will build a school community that promotes creativity, curiosity and confidence. We look forward to sharing this journey with you.
