Mr. Goins joined the LAAAE team in March 2006.  He earned his bachelor's degree in History from the University of Texas, Austin.  After graduation, he joined Teach for America and has taught in the Compton and Los Angeles Unified School Districts for eight years.

Mr. Goins is a native of Houston, Texas.  He enjoys songwriting and guitar.
